Many of our customers rent our w*intercom systems. We offer both purchase and rental options. But in general, a lot of w*intercom systems are in the field in a daily rental situation.
Almost all our resellers have tried in the past to design their own similar systems from off the shelf components, yet they actually pay us a premium to buy or rent w*intercoms.
In a word, reliability. Almost all of the firmware and software used in our equipment is engineered by us, and it’s essentially “fat free”. We literally refine the crap out of it, until we know exactly what is going on and exactly how it behaves.
We also designed a completely automated system used exclusively in our factory and repair facility that ensures that every system that leaves in exactly the same as the previous one, and tested thoroughly for 72 hours under similar conditions it will be subjected to in the field. Rental returns and refurbished units are reprogrammed and tested automatically, just as if they were new.
These investments in the w*intercom system engineering, along with other designed in features both in hardware and software deliver a much more robust, reliable and consistent system.
The benefit to our resellers is that once they ship a system to a field site, they aren’t making constant trips to fix it. The delta between rental revenues and field service costs are the only thing that matters when you can’t bill for service calls that are a fault of the equipment.
